AMERICAN LEGION POST#8 - HISTORY
AMERICAN LEGION RIDER MOTORCYCLE ASSOCIATION
The American Legion Riders (ALR) are members of the American Legion who are also motorcycle enthusiasts. They can be found participating in parades, motorcycle events and supporting the communities in which they live, work and play.
Members of the ALR Post #8 come from the Legion,
Sons of the American Legion and also from the Legion Auxillary.
*** The American Legion Riders is not a motorcycle club
and does not practice motorcycle rules or regulations.
AMERICAN LEGION RIDER REQUIREMENTS
There are two requirements to become a ALR member
1. Be a current member of the American Legion, Auxillary or the Sons of the American Legion.
2. You must own a motorcycle of at least 650cc in size or be the spouse of an owner who is an
Association member. The bike must be street legal, no atv's.
First meeting : December 6 -2007 - called to order at 7PM by Danny Meehan.
Tempe ALR President Dave Grey and other group members were introduced along with a presentation about the history of the American Legion Riders. Dave also discussed the workings of the group, patches,etc.
Officers were then nominated and elected.
